Associate Director, Clinical Scientist

Vir Biotechnology seeks an Associate Director, Clinical Scientist to lead oncology clinical study execution, from startup through reporting. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with clinical operations, medical monitoring, data management, and regulatory teams to advance programs through key development milestones.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Clinical Scientist for one or more oncology studies, supporting startup through reporting
- Contribute to protocol and informed consent development across cross-functional feedback cycles
- Perform ongoing clinical data review to identify trends, issues, and ensure data quality
- Support investigator meetings, training activities, and protocol-related site communications
- Prepare and review clinical study reports, regulatory submissions, and safety documentation
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, Medicine, or related field
- 7+ years oncology clinical research experience in biotech, pharma, CRO, or academic settings
- Experience designing, conducting, and analyzing oncology clinical trials
- Strong knowledge of GCP, ICH guidelines, and drug development processes
- Demonstrated ability reviewing clinical data, identifying trends, and managing cross-functional teams
- Expertise in protocol development, clinical trial operations, and study execution
