Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Clinic ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Kansas City, Missouri.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ED - Emergency Department\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 09/28/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, evenings\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Evenings, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Sep 28, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for an evening shift position requiring TNCC and CPI certifications along with a MO or compact RN license.Details\n \n Level A Emergency Department with 38 beds across Rapid, Main, and POD 3 (psych safe) areas\n Staffed with 7 day-shift RNs, 7 night-shift RNs, and 5 mid-shift RNs\n Uses vent, BiPAP, EKG, art lines, Belmont rapid infuser, and chest tube equipment\n Meditech EMR used\n Performs procedures including port placement and chest tube management\n Shift schedule is 2:00 PM to 2:00 AM\n Floating to Brookside ED may be required\n Minimum of 4 weekend shifts and 2 Friday shifts required per 4-week schedule\n Coverage required for 2 major and 2 minor holidays\n Requirements\n \n Active MO or compact RN license required\n BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted)\n TNCC certification required\n CPI certification required (SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA may be accepted in lieu of CPI based on facility requirements)\n De-escalation course completion required; CPI preferred\n Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience required\n Strong prioritizing and time management skills required\n No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months\n US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration\n Two professional references required for Missouri placements\n Additional Information\n \n Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity emergency department setting\n Team-oriented environment valuing patient focus, attention to detail, positive attitude, and coachability\n Navy blue scrub attire required\n POD 3 unit has specific psychiatric safety policies\n Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-750490.
