Work Environment

This full-time position requires working onsite within a vibrant hospital setting. Our team operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility to accommodate patient needs. Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in the assessment and implementation of individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs and goals.
• Guide patients through a structured regimen of therapeutic exercises, stretches, and modalities focusing on enhancing strength, mobility, and overall physical function.
• Educate patients on achieving proper body mechanics and the execution of home exercise programs to foster recovery and independence.
• Administer therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/cold therapy while adhering to the treatment protocols outlined by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, including any changes in strength, range of motion, and functional capabilities, to inform treatment adjustments.
• Prepare and maintain treatment areas, ensuring that all equipment is operational and therapeutic supplies are stocked and organized.
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists, to optimize patient care strategies and outcomes.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients throughout their rehabilitation journeys, fostering a nurturing and motivating therapeutic environment.
• Uphold professional standards and ethics, maintaining patient confidentiality and respecting their privacy at all times.

Qualifications

• A minimum of an Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

• Competence in executing therapeutic exercises and modalities with guidance from a licensed Physical Therapist.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
