Medical Assistant 2As a Medical Assistant 2, reporting to Supervisor, Central Administration, you will be the first contact for patient care, responsible for administrative responsibilities in addition to patient care. Working onsite, you will perform varied activities and moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments. You will typically work on semi-routine assignments.As a Medical Assistant 2, you will:Perform Clinical responsibilities include discussing symptoms, obtaining vital signs, and administering medications and vaccines. Additional responsibilities involve performing phlebotomy, collecting specimens, and conducting diagnostic screening tests.Sterilize and cleaning equipment, maintaining examination rooms, and documenting information into the electronic medical records system.Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.Deliver direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows.Decisions typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments.Work within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has latitude over prioritization/timing.Follow standard procedures that allow opportunity for interpretation/deviation.Required Qualifications:Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from ProviderHigh school diploma or equivalentCPR CertifiedThis is a patient-facing role and part of our Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. We require TB screening upon hire.Preferred Qualifications:Certified or Registered – (Arizona, Indiana, & South Carolina candidates require Medical Assistant Certification or Registration)Phlebotomy experienceMedication/vaccine administration experience1+ years MA experienceValue-based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient ExperienceBilingual proficiency in English and Spanish - must pass proficiency exam before foreign language communicationHours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PMLocation: In-office - Pembroke Pines, FLScheduled Weekly Hours: 40Pay Range: $43,000 - $56,200 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
