Summary This position is located in the Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), Human Resources Directorate (HRD), Technology and Data Support Division. Serves as a Lead Human Resources Specialist in the HRD Processing Branch. Responsibilities Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Leads the team in identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established work flow. Serves as coach, facilitator and/or negotiator in coordinating team initiatives and in consensus building activities among team members. Intercedes with the supervisor on behalf of the team to inform the supervisor of performance management issues or problems and recommends/requests related actions such as assignments, reassignments, promotions, tour of duty changes, peer reviews, and performance appraisals. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. For entry at the GS-13 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-12 or higher grade in the Federal Service. Specialized experience for GS-13: Prepares reports and maintain records of work accomplishments and administrative information. Reviews all processed personnel actions to ensure timely and accurate flow to systems. Processes new hire actions with a complete hiring package to support legal appointments. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experience at the GS-13 grade level.
