Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized critical care nursing services in a busy ICU unit, ensuring the highest level of patient safety and comfort. Manage complex medical conditions and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care.

Responsibilities:

Administer and titrate vasoactive medications and sedation protocols according to physician orders.
Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, including reading telemetry strips and responding to alarms promptly.
Perform procedures such as central line care and removal, as well as managing ventilators, CRRT, and other critical care equipment.
Collaborate with RTs and physicians to optimize patient outcomes, especially for patients with sepsis, COVID, and other critical diagnoses.
Document patient progress accurately in electronic health records and adhere to unit policies.
Float to step-down and MedSurg units as needed to support staffing and patient care demands.

Qualifications:

Valid RN license with a minimum of 1 year of critical care experience.
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
Demonstrate proficiency with CRRT, IABP, ventilators, and vasoactive drug administration.
Prior travel experience preferred, with ability to adapt quickly to new environments.
Competent in performing line placements and removals, medication titration, and patient assessment.
