ICU Registered Nurse (RN) - 12 Hour Night Shift

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The successful candidate will provide critical care to patients in a fast-paced environment. The position requires a strong background in critical care nursing and proficiency in various ICU procedures and patient management.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ICU setting, managing complex patient needs.
• Titrate and manage vasoactive medications, sedation, and paralytics as indicated.
• Perform care and removal of central lines and other invasive procedures.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Monitor and record patient conditions, interpreting telemetry and vital signs.
• Participate in patient and family education regarding care and treatment plans.

Schedule

This is a 12-hour night shift position, with weekend coverage as required. Self-scheduling is allowed, but must meet the needs of the unit.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license with at least 1 year of critical care experience.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Proficiency with CRRT, IABP, and ventilators.
• Experience with post-code/therapeutic hypothermia is preferred.
