About the Team SAP Customer Delivery Engagement (CDE) is part of SAP Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) and delivers fixed‑scope, proactive and outcome‑based services across the entire SAP software stack to SAP’s PaaS, SaaS, and on‑premise customers. We manage engagements in HANA Enterprise Cloud, other SAP Cloud Offerings such as SuccessFactors, and on‑premise environments. The service portfolio covers infrastructure services and Application Managed Services, including Managed Data, Testing, and Security. Our goal is to support customers on their digital transformation journey to the intelligent enterprise powered by S4/HANA. The Role The Client Delivery Manager (CDM) is the personal point of contact for all ECS customers, coordinating account activities with internal stakeholders and customers. As the main contact and escalation point, the CDM builds strong customer relationships, acts as a trusted advisor, and ensures contractually agreed services are delivered and change requests processed in a timely manner. The CDM collaborates closely with Technical Service Managers, Project Leads, and customers’ IT and business stakeholders to plan and coordinate service requests, provide monthly/quarterly service level reporting, and advise on new services that increase business value. Day to Day Job Duties Actively drive the cloud transformation agenda with key client stakeholders to ensure adoption of S/4HANA and cloud standardization. Lead customer engagement and ensure seamless alignment across SAP Services, product support, ECS partners, and the customer’s system integrators or hosting partners. Perform administrative tasks required to manage the engagement, including staffing, reporting, and controlling. Manage proactive delivery of service plans and reactive support requests. Host regular status and governance meetings with customers and other SAP stakeholders. Drive transformation and onboarding toward SAP Cloud Solutions. Manage end‑to‑end customer engagement, including commercial responsibility, customer expectations, delivery team success, reporting, and invoicing. Achieve customer reference collateral and ensure high customer satisfaction. Deliver best practices through a proactive mindset and de‑escalate critical customer situations. Protect and grow engagement scope and manage commercial change requests. Participate in team‑internal knowledge sharing and coach other team members. Basic Qualifications Minimum 6+ years of experience in project management or SAP operations. Minimum 6+ years of experience in a customer‑facing role. Minimum 8–10 years of experience managing multiple clients in a service‑management capacity. Experience in IT service provider environments and managing outsourcing engagements. Strong SAP Basis, technology, and/or functional knowledge. Technical infrastructure know‑how and understanding of virtualized system landscapes. Strong project management skills and customer‑facing experience. Ability to translate between technical and non‑technical audiences with confidence. Strong engagement management, relationship‑building, and de‑escalation skills. Excellent presentation, communication, and moderation skills. High competency in multitasking and managing multiple engagements in parallel. Experience working in an international, global virtual matrix organization. Understanding of SAP’s cloud business, hybrid infrastructure, and cloud operation processes. High proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus. Travel This position requires 20% travel to client locations. Degree Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree preferred in Business Administration, Computer Science, Technical Engineering, Economics, or a related field. Nice to Have Knowledge and certifications in SAP IT operations standards and methodologies (e.g., SAP CCoE, ITIL V4 Foundation or Expert Level, Run SAP standards, Solution Manager ALM).
