Compensation: $101,100 to $150,400 base salary, plus commission and bonus potential

An organization focused on sustainable infrastructure and performance based energy solutions is seeking a Senior Account Executive to lead high value, complex solution sales to executive level decision makers. This role centers on building long term partnerships with building owners and public sector institutions, expanding managed account relationships through renewable services, performance contracting, design build solutions, and Energy as a Service (EaaS) models.

Schedule Full time, hybrid or remote within the assigned territory. Travel up to 50% is required.

Compensation $101,100 to $150,400 base salary, with commission potential of approximately $500,000 to $750,000 and a bonus target of 20%. A company car or mileage reimbursement is provided.

What You'll Do This role leads the sale of large, sophisticated solution offerings with guaranteed financial and operational outcomes, positioning multi year service agreements and performance contracting as the foundation of long term account relationships. The account executive evaluates and positions alternative delivery models including design build and Energy as a Service, while expanding share of customer wallet by broadening solution adoption within managed accounts.

The role engages C-suite executives, economic buyers, and owner's representatives, building trusted advisory relationships grounded in business, financial, and operational value, and translating customer challenges into differentiated solutions. It also includes targeting, qualifying, and pursuing new high potential customers while expanding existing accounts, using CRM and account planning tools to track strategy and execution.

This position leads matrixed project development teams across engineering, finance, legal, construction management, and operations, coordinating internal stakeholders to deliver cohesive proposals. The account executive develops, presents, and negotiates complex proposals and financial agreements, addressing resistance and securing executive commitment through financial, operational, and sustainability positioning. The role also includes participation in regional sales and marketing planning, representing the organization at industry trade shows and professional associations, and using generative AI tools for prospect research and competitive positioning.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
• 5 to 7+ years of progressive enterprise or solution based sales experience
• Demonstrated success selling at the C-level
• Strong business and financial acumen
• Ability to lead cross functional teams in a matrixed organization
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA
• Experience in K-12 education, government, utility, or community college vertical markets
• Experience with performance contracting, design build, or Energy as a Service (EaaS) models
