Lead Cloud Engineer - AI Ops

Salary: $112,700 - 193,200 per year Requirements:

• We require 8+ years of overall software engineering and Site Reliability Engineering experience in a public cloud environment such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.
• We require 3+ years of hands-on development experience with Python and Terraform.
• We require 2+ years of experience delivering AI/ML or generative AI solutions in production.
• We require 2+ years of experience managing Kubernetes environments, including EKS, AKS, GKE, or self-hosted clusters.
• We require availability for rotating 24x7 primary and secondary on-call shifts.
• We prefer a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent software engineering experience.
• We prefer practical experience with cloud infrastructure automation, observability platforms, and SRE best practices for AI workloads.
• We prefer experience leading globally distributed technical teams.
• We prefer experience with vector search and enterprise search solutions.
• We prefer a track record of building Retrieval Augmented Generation pipelines, Agentic AI, or multi-step AI workflows.
• We prefer experience creating evaluation and monitoring frameworks for AI quality.
• We prefer CI/CD experience, with GitHub Actions as an advantage, and infrastructure as code expertise with Terraform.
• We prefer strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical ideas to varied stakeholders.

• We lead the end-to-end design and delivery of AI Ops solutions from concept to production, with a strong focus on responsible AI.
• We help advance our SRE practices, lead incident response, and ensure high availability, scalability, and performance across cloud environments.
• We automate infrastructure and operations by building infrastructure as code with Terraform and GitHub Actions while following best practices.
• We define and own solution architecture for RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, tool calling, orchestration, and conversational context management.
• We design, build, and deploy AI-powered solutions that solve complex business problems at enterprise scale.
• We collaborate closely with development and SRE teams to improve system design, champion reliability, and mentor other engineers.
• We design, code, test, and operate software using Python and Node.js.
• We use enterprise-approved AI tools to improve workflows, automate tasks, and increase operational efficiency.
