Senior Accountant

Overview Gentell is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. As a key member of the department, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. You will also play a crucial role in process improvement and providing support to the accounting management team. Responsibilities Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Perform account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner. Assist with the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes. Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation. Analyze financial data and provide insightful reports and variance explanations. Assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Stay up-to-date on current accounting regulations and best practices. Provide support and guidance to junior accounting staff, as needed. Assist with tax preparation and compliance. Perform other duties as assigned by Controller. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA certification is highly preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with Sage accounting system.
