Interview: Skype & Call Visa: All apart from H1B & CPT Rate: DOE Remote Position

We have a new 100% remote role for a Talend Developer. It is 6-12 months + for a financial services client, no Visa restrictions. We are seeking a Senior Talend Engineer who will work closely with the Technical Lead/Architect in creating robust data pipelines and data service APIs to aid in the development of our products and services. This is a hands-on development role for an experienced ETL developer using Talend.

Responsibilities:

Take ownership and accountability for delivering ETL solutions under the guidance of a Technical Lead
Talend Cloud is preferred over Talend on-prem experience
Design, Develop and Test new Talend ETL solutions as well as maintain existing Talend data feeds
Build data expertise and a deep understanding of technical environment and business domain knowledge
Work independently to figure out technical challenges, and identify options and come up with solutions

Required Experience and Skills:

4+ years of experience with Talend writing secure, stable, testable, maintainable Talend ETL code with minimal defects
Expert understanding of the Talend Open Studio platform is expected
6+ years of overall experience working on data integration and ETL solutions in a Data Warehouse environment
Strong knowledge of relational data modeling, development, and testing in Oracle RDS (preferred) or similar relational Database environment
Good knowledge and experience using Java within the Talend platform
Experience with Python a plus
Familiarity with AWS (e.g. S3 storage) especially for accessing data in the Cloud
Experience working with Atlassian (or similar tools) Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo, etc.
Knowledge of DevOps principles as they relate to data solutions
Familiarity with various data technologies including NoSQL (MongoDB/ DynamoDB), Search (ElasticSearch) and Data Lakes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
