Job Summary

As a 1st Shift Meat Packer, you will play a crucial role in our final production stage during morning hours. Operating from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, you will ensure our meat products are properly portioned, securely packaged, and ready for early distribution. Your primary responsibilities involve operating packaging equipment, inspecting products for quality accuracy, and maintaining a highly sanitary work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Operation: Operate packaging and sealing equipment efficiently to safely package meat products.
• Quality Inspection: Inspect packaged items carefully to verify accurate labeling, airtight seals, and overall product quality.
• Sanitation & Hygiene: Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in the packing area to prevent cross-contamination.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow all established safety protocols, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and food safety regulations.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the production and warehouse teams to meet daily packing targets and strict deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a meat packing, butchery, or food manufacturing role.
• Schedule Reliability: Ability to consistently arrive and start the shift at 6:00 AM.
• Physical Ability: Stature and physical stamina to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Attention to Detail: Strong commitment to quality control, label accuracy, and neat packaging presentation.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with food safety regulations, temperature controls, and best practices.
• Certifications: Forklift certification is preferred (or a willingness to train and obtain one).

Working Conditions

• Based on-site at our food manufacturing and warehouse facility during early morning hours.
• Requires working in a consistently cool/refrigerated environment suitable for meat processing.
• Physical role requiring the use of company-provided safety gear, including steel-toed boots, smocks, and hair/beard nets.
