PHP Support Engineer

Job Title PHP Support Engineer Location Raleigh, NC Duration 6 months Hybrid role Hybrid role Role Descriptions Hands‑on PHP engineer providing production support, bug resolution, and performance optimization for web applications. Acts as the technical bridge between engineering and operations — owning issue triage, root cause analysis, and timely fixes in live environments. Key Responsibilities Production Support: Monitor, triage, and resolve PHP application issues across production environments within defined SLAs. Aware of Web Application Development Lifecycle. Bug Fixes & Patches: Diagnose and fix defects in PHP codebases; deploy hotfixes with minimal downtime. Knowledge of tools: Splunk, Tableau. Root Cause Analysis: Investigate recurring failures, document findings, and implement permanent solutions. Code Review & Quality: Review PHP code for bugs, security vulnerabilities, and performance bottlenecks. Database Support: Write and optimize SQL queries; troubleshoot database‑related application issues (MySQL / PostgreSQL). API Support: Debug and support RESTful API integrations and third‑party service connections. Documentation: Maintain runbooks, incident logs, and known‑error knowledge base.
