Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a Pharmacist in Charge role at a psychiatric facility with a licensed bed capacity of 128 and an average daily census of 103 patients. This contract assignment is based in Cypress, TX, running for approximately 8 to 12 weeks, with immediate start availability.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Manage staffing, including coordination with two pharmacy technicians and three PRN pharmacists
• Provide weekend and on-call coverage as required when per diems are not available or to cover staffing gaps
• Utilize the HCS order entry system, with training provided
• Support pharmacy services in a psychiatric care setting, maintaining medication safety and security

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Potential weekend shifts, 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, as needed
• On-call coverage may be required intermittently

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Active Texas Pharmacist licensure is mandatory
• Experience or interest in psychiatric pharmacy practice
• Ability to manage and coordinate pharmacy staff
• Willingness to participate in weekend and on-call rotations
• Familiarity with electronic order entry systems preferred, training for HCS will be provided
