Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Summary:
The Critical Care Float RN provides specialized nursing care across ICU, Intermediate, and Medical-Surgical units, ensuring optimal patient outcomes while adapting to staffing needs. This role involves flexible scheduling, including rotating weekends and holidays, with duties focused on critical care support.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients across multiple units.
• Float between ICU, Intermediate, and Medical-Surgical units as needed, adjusting to patient care priorities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor patient conditions continuously, respond to emergencies promptly, and document care accurately.
• Adhere to facility protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards to maintain compliance.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care instructions.

Qualifications:

• Hold at least 2 years of recent ICU and/or ER nursing experience.
• Certified in CPR and ACLS.
• Proficient in EPIC electronic health record system.
• Demonstrate flexibility with Overtime and rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Comply with vaccination requirements, including Flu and Covid vaccinations or valid medical/religious exemptions.
• Maintain current nursing license and relevant clinical certifications.
