Critical Care Float Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Critical Care Float Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care by floating between the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Intermediate unit, and Medical-Surgical (MS) unit, depending on patient needs.

Shift Details

• Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM
• Rotating weekends and holidays

Job Responsibilities

• Providing direct patient care in ICU, Intermediate unit, and MS.
• Maintaining patient safety and comfort while adhering to established protocols.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participating in patient assessment and developing care plans.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Documenting patient care accurately in EPIC and adhering to policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) and/or ICU nursing experience.
• Current certification in CPR and ACLS.
• Experience using EPIC documentation system.
• Successful completion of influenza and Covid vaccinations, or accepted medical/religious exemption.

Mandatory Overtime Policy

During the assignment, the Critical Care Float RN will be considered part of the unit's rotation pool. As such, the RN may be required to work additional hours as needed to ensure adequate coverage for the unit.
