Staff Accountant

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing core accounting functions, and supporting financial reporting processes. Your expertise will help maintain accurate financial records, streamline accounting operations, and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization. Responsibilities Prepare and analyze journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger adjustments to ensure accuracy and completeness. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes using various financial software such as Vista Spectrum. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and perform month-end closing activities efficiently. Assist with payroll management tasks utilizing systems and ensuring timely and accurate processing. Perform data entry and financial analysis using Vista Trimble analysis techniques to identify discrepancies or trends. Experience Proven accounting experience with a strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, GAAP, and governmental accounting standards. Hands-on experience with various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Vista Spectrum, or similar platforms. Familiarity with financial concepts including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and account analysis. Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliation, balance sheet review, and ledger maintenance accurately. Experience in public accounting or working within a financial services environment is highly desirable. Strong numeracy skills complemented by proficiency in Excel data analysis tools for detailed financial reporting. Knowledge of payroll systems and experience managing accounts payable/receivable processes are advantageous.
