Quality Engineer

Sr. Quality Engineer-Grand Prairie, TXGrand Prairie, TexasLockheed Martin is seeking a motivated and driven Quality Engineer for a position based in Grand Prairie, TX. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for leading and implementing advanced Quality Engineering initiatives within a manufacturing environment.This position is intended to support the program and production rate increase by leading project-specific growth/improvement activities.The Quality Engineer will collaborate and partner with other functions including Program Manager, Proposal Manager, Contracts, Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Production Operations and Customers.Typical Sr Quality Engineer has a bachelors degree and 5-10 years of experience.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher education from an accredited college in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, Aerospace, etc.)Experienced practitioner of quality management systems and their various tasks (e.g. AS9100, ISO9001, AS9145) across value stream operations with demonstrated ability to work at all levels of the organization to address major QMS tactical and systemic eventsThorough understanding of Mechanical and Design principles with knowledge of Machine Shop practices, Tooling design, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) with demonstrated ability to interpret contractual and technical data (e.g. drawings, specifications) to troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutionsExperience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvementMust be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a secret clearanceExperience working with Government customers/representatives (e.g. Program Office, DCMA)Desired Skills:Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification or ASQ Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical / process issues varying from basic to very complex.Quality Engineering or Supplier Quality experience as well as experience with developing and reviewing Quality Standards, methods, work instructional and procedures for inspectionAn understanding of the Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) SAP and Procure to Pay (P2P) business systemsExperience with performing/reviewing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements and/or Production Part Approval Process documentation.Experience with control and disposition of non-conforming Material (Material Review Board)Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.Clearance Level: SecretOther Important Information You Should KnowExpression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
