Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Schedule
Nights (3x12 typical; guaranteed 36 hours/week for 3x12s)
Weekend requirement: Every 3rd weekend

Assignment Details
Expected patient volume: ~127 visits/day
ER beds: 38

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years RN experience required
- Travel experience required
- ACLS, BCLS (BLS), NIH (NIHSS), PALS certifications required
- Pending license accepted
- Local candidates not accepted within 75-mile radius
- Key clinical skills: Emergency triage, airway management, cardiac monitoring, IV starts/maintenance, basic trauma procedures, behavioral/psychiatric management, 12-lead ECG acquisition

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide emergency triage and management for patients of all ages
- Conduct airway management and care for ventilated patients
- Perform cardiac monitoring and recognize dysrhythmias
- Administer IV medications and blood products, including IV vasopressors
- Participate in basic trauma procedures, including splinting and central line familiarity
- Manage violent behavior and psychiatric holds as necessary

Compliance / Notes
- Compliance deadline: 3pm CST on the Monday before initial start date
- Maximum 7 days of RTO (requires manager approval)
- No RTO allowed first week of assignment
- Mandatory pre-start modules required; must be completed to avoid delays
- Facial hair must allow for proper fit testing
