Director of Admissions, Enrollment Marketing, Graduate and Undergraduate

The Director of Admissions and Enrollment Marketing, Graduate and Undergraduate, serves as the senior enrollment management leader dedicated to supporting Plymouth State University’s undergraduate, graduate, and professional enrollment goals. The primary purpose of this role is to advance Plymouth’s recruitment priorities, strengthen enrollment outcomes, and provide visible, trusted campus leadership that reflects Plymouth’s identity, academic portfolio, student populations, and market position as a unique university while supporting and integrating into the new shared services structure. The position builds strong relationships across the Plymouth campus, coordinates enrollment activity with academic and administrative partners, and ensures that campus-specific priorities, opportunities, and barriers are understood and addressed in a timely and constructive way.


Within the shared services enrollment structure, the role serves as the primary campus-based connection between Plymouth State University and other enrollment teams and leadership. Reporting to the Assistant Vice Provost and Executive Director of System Admissions at and operating under the strategic direction of senior enrollment leadership, the position helps align shared enrollment resources with Plymouth’s goals while keeping the campus experience, institutional priorities, and local enrollment needs at the center of the work. The role carries direct responsibility for coordinating recruitment activity across first-year, transfer, graduate, and professional student populations, with the greatest emphasis on undergraduate recruitment because of Plymouth State University’s first-year and transfer enrollment goals. Graduate recruitment remains an important part of the portfolio, particularly in facilitating program-level and industry partnerships. The position also supports enrollment marketing alignment, staff leadership, and data-informed implementation of enrollment priorities in ways that strengthen Plymouth’s distinct enrollment strategy.

Duties/Responsibilities

Campus Leadership, Relationship Building, and Shared Services Integration - 25%

• Serve as the primary admissions and enrollment management representative at Plymouth State University within the shared services model.

• Build and maintain trusted relationships across campus; attend key leadership and planning meetings; listen for emerging issues, concerns, and opportunities; translate shared services direction into campus-level understanding and action; communicate Plymouth-specific context back to shared services leadership; and act as a visible proponent of shared services while ensuring campus needs are understood and addressed constructively.

Undergraduate Recruitment Coordination: First-Year and Transfer - 30%

• Coordinate first-year and transfer recruitment activity for Plymouth State University under the direction of senior enrollment leadership.

• Support territory strategy, high school and community college relationships, campus partner engagement, recruitment event coordination, inquiry and applicant conversion, yield activity, and melt mitigation.

• Ensure campus partners are connected to undergraduate recruitment priorities and that barriers to meeting enrollment goals are surfaced and addressed.

• This responsibility receives the largest allocation because first-year and transfer enrollment remain central to Plymouth State University enrollment goals.

Graduate Recruitment and Industry Partnership Development - 10%

• Support targeted graduate and professional program recruitment strategy, including program-level enrollment planning, audience segmentation, lead generation, and yield support.

• Partner with faculty, employers, industry organizations, community partners, and professional networks to facilitate graduate enrollment pipelines aligned with workforce needs, market demand, and program capacity.

Enrollment Marketing Alignment - 15%

• Serve as the campus enrollment voice in partnership with Marketing and Communications and shared services leadership.

• Help align enrollment-facing messaging, campaigns, communication priorities, and digital engagement with Plymouth State University’s recruitment needs, campus identity, program opportunities, and enrollment goals.

• Provide feedback on campaign performance, prospect behavior, and market signals from the campus perspective.

Staff Leadership, Operations, and Campus Accountability - 15%

• Provide leadership and supervision for admissions staff, including hiring, onboarding, training, performance expectations, workflow development, and accountability measures.

• Ensure operational consistency, effective deployment of staff resources, and responsive prospective student service across undergraduate and graduate recruitment activities.

Enrollment Strategy Implementation and Data Review - 5%

• Support implementation of enrollment priorities established by the Vice Provost for Enrollment Management and the Assistant Vice Provost and Executive Director of System Admissions.

• Monitor funnel progress, review data dashboards and conversion indicators, identify barriers or opportunities, and elevate recommendations or concerns to senior enrollment leadership to support achievement of enrollment goals.

Requirements:

Acceptable Minimum Level of Education

• Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred

Acceptable Minimum Years of Experience

• 7–10 years of progressive experience in higher education admissions or enrollment management, including demonstrated leadership responsibility across campus partnerships, recruitment coordination, admissions operations, and reaching enrollment goals.

Compensation Pay Range:

$60,360.00 - $107,920.00
