Petaluma, CA 94954 Industry : Administrative Job Number: 45498 Pay Rate: 30.00 Communication Coordinator Location: Petaluma, CA Temporary assignment, approximately 6 to 12 months Pay: $28 to $30 per hour Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We are seeking a confident, friendly, and well-spoken Project Advocate to support a small-business advocacy organization. This position is ideal for someone with strong communication, networking, marketing, or public relations experience who is passionate about advocacy and building community relationships. Responsibilities Clearly communicate the organization’s mission, goals, strategies, and initiatives. Represent an advocacy project focused on supporting women-owned businesses. Connect with women’s organizations, media representatives, public-interest groups, and government contacts. Build and maintain positive professional relationships with partner organizations and community groups. Draft social media posts, articles, outreach materials, and press releases. Respond to requests for information from individuals and organizations. Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field, or at least two years of relevant experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Confident and professional when conducting outreach by phone, email, and in person. Strong networking and relationship-building abilities. Ability to communicate effectively with media contacts, organizations, and public-interest groups. Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software. Previous marketing or advocacy experience is preferred.
