Staff Accountant

Position Summary Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant to support a broad range of accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to maintaining accurate financial records while supporting ongoing process improvements and operational efficiency. What You'll Do Manage day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable activities. Generate and process customer invoices while ensuring accurate recordkeeping. Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries. Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Support financial statement preparation and reporting activities. Monitor and maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure financial accuracy and timely reporting. Assist with inventory accounting activities as needed. Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues in a timely manner. Support audit, tax, and compliance-related requests. Contribute to process improvements and accounting best practices. Assist with accounting system enhancements and ongoing optimization efforts. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. 2+ years of accounting experience. Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close. Inventory accounting experience is a plus. Experience working within a fast-paced business environment preferred. Familiarity with QuickBooks, Peachtree/Sage, or other accounting/ERP systems. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Comfortable learning new technologies and software platforms. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
