Registered Nurse (Acute Care)

The Registered Nurse (Acute Care) provides competent, evidence-based care to assigned patients and oversight of licensed vocational nurses/nursing assistants, as appropriate to the setting. Administers medications and procedures per established policies and guidelines. Other duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care based on age specific components.
• Demonstrates responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care
• Assists in directing the provision of nursing education, orientation, competencies and providing quality improvement and outcomes utilization consultation.
• Evaluates outcomes of evidence-based decisions and practice changes for individuals, groups, and populations.
• Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team. Core elements of performance include knowledge and active participation in the unit/program level quality improvement process and initiatives as well as customer service programs.
• Leads and organizes delivery of care to ensure continuity of care and peer accountability for practice in alignment with the ANA Standards of Nursing Practice
• Applies nursing expertise to lead improvement, with demonstrated outcomes, beyond the immediate practice setting.

Pay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards
