As a Bartender at Trudie's Tavern, you are a key driver of our success and the primary face of our hospitality for every guest who visits our bar. You serve as a daily ambassador of our culture, ensuring a seamless experience that meets our high standards for service, beverage quality, and guest satisfaction. We offer both full-time and part-time hourly roles. Candidates can expect a schedule of 3–5 days per week, with standard shifts lasting approximately 8 hours. Please note that availability for nights, weekends, and select holidays is required. To ensure team consistency and operational success, we require a minimum commitment of three shifts per week.

Guest Experience
- Provide attentive, proactive service that anticipates guest needs before they are articulated.
- Share the "why" behind our menus with confidence, including the sourcing of local ingredients and the inspiration for seasonal dishes.
- Address guest concerns or service hiccups with grace and immediate solutions, escalating to management when necessary to ensure the guest leaves satisfied.
- Master the "art of the meal" by reading the table's energy—knowing when to provide a lingering, relaxed experience versus an efficient, brisk service for guests on a schedule.
- Recognize and welcome regulars, remembering their preferences or previous visits to foster a true neighborhood community feel while working with the Maitre 'd to add to guest notes.
- Serve as the primary line of defense for guest safety by meticulously communicating dietary restrictions to the kitchen and confirming safe modifications for guests with allergies.
- Manage the hand-off between courses and drink rounds so that the table is always "reset" and the guest never feels a lapse in attention.
- Offer an immediate, warm greeting to every guest as they walk in or approach the bar, ensuring they feel acknowledged and welcomed the moment they enter the space.
- Proactively recognize and welcome regular guests, maintaining a detailed memory of their beverage preferences and past visits.
- Ensure that the bar is never left unattended by coordinating with teammates to maintain a consistent presence behind the bar, ensuring someone is always available to assist guests and manage service.
- Meticulously manage the "reset" of the guest's space by clearing empty glassware and maintaining a clean bar top so the guest never feels a lapse in attention.
Product Knowledge
- Maintain a deep understanding of our food and beverage programs, including seasonal ingredients, preparation methods, and wine/cocktail pairings.
- Possess expert knowledge of our spirits library, including the flavor profiles of base spirits, and demonstrate proficiency in classic and house-specific cocktail techniques (shaking, stirring, and proper dilution) to ensure consistency in every glass.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all menu items, including key ingredients, common allergens, and the specific culinary techniques used by the kitchen.
- Recommend wine, beer, and cocktail pairings that complement specific dishes with confidence.
- Maintain a working knowledge of our back-bar and wine list, including the regions, grape varietals, and production styles of our featured bottles.
- Maintain an up-to-the-minute understanding of house-made syrups, infusions, and garnishes, ensuring all components are fresh and informing management if supplies are low before a shift begins.
- Attend pre-shift briefings to learn about menu modifications, off-menu specials, and 86'd items, ensuring 100% accuracy when describing them to guests.
- Understand the history and mission of the restaurant and RAD Restaurant group to answer guest questions about our other concepts and community involvement.
