About the Role

The Company is in need of a Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide strategic financial leadership and guidance. The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Director and Board to ensure the organization's financial stability, sustainability, and informed decision-making. This part-time role, requiring 10-20 hours per month, will focus on financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and long-term organizational strategy, rather than day-to-day accounting. Key responsibilities include serving as a strategic financial advisor, leading budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial analysis, as well as preparing and presenting financial reports and insights. The CFO will also be responsible for monitoring the organization's financial health, supporting annual planning, and strengthening financial policies, controls, and processes. Applicants for the Fractional CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a CPA being preferred. A minimum of 8 years' progressive finance or accounting leadership experience is required, with a background as a CFO, Controller, or in other senior financial leadership roles. Nonprofit experience is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management, and be adept at presenting financial information to executive leadership and/or a Board of Directors. Strong strategic thinking, communication, and analytical skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively in a part-time capacity and operate independently.
