This role supports daily production goals while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Regular attendance and participation in departmental, production, safety, and company meetings are required.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction OperationsOperate assigned production machinery and equipment with minimal supervision.Perform routine visual inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery.Set up, operate, troubleshoot, adjust, and maintain production line equipment using control panels and mechanical processes.Complete tire processing operations, including:Initial inspectionRepairRegroovingFinal inspectionPressure testingPaintingMonitor product quality and production performance throughout the process.Material HandlingSafely operate a forklift to move and transport raw materials and finished products.Workplace OrganizationMaintain a clean, safe, and productive work environment.Regularly organize and clean the work area using air wands, vacuums, brooms, and shovels.Ensure workstations and surrounding areas remain clear of debris.CommunicationCommunicate production, equipment, or quality concerns to the Shift Lead or Supervisor.Submit maintenance work orders as needed.Assist in identifying and communicating mechanical issues when troubleshooting equipment.Team Support & Cross-TrainingCross-train in other production roles as needed.QualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or GED, or four years of machine operator or tire technician experience.Ability to read, write, and speak English.Minimum six months of forklift operating experience.Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.Ability to read and understand units of measurement.Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.Ability to work overtime as needed to meet production requirements.Ability to safely perform the physical demands of the position.PreferredPrevious tire technician experience operating similar equipment.Front-end loader experience.Valid driver's license (required for employees who may jockey trailers).Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Work EnvironmentThis position works in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to:High-pressure air, steam, and gas systemsHazardous fumes and chemicalsExtreme temperatures and heat variationsLoud noise levelsMoving machinery and equipmentDust, dirt, and other manufacturing byproductsRequired Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Safety glassesSteel-toe or composite-toe footwearHearing protectionPhysical RequirementsStand and walk for extended periods.Frequently bend, reach, climb, stoop, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions.Lift and carry materials weighing up to:50 pounds occasionally20 pounds frequently10 pounds continuouslyUse hands and fingers to operate tools, equipment, and machinery.Maintain adequate vision and hearing to safely perform job duties.Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production and safety matters.Demonstrate strong time management and attention to detail.Follow all company safety policies and procedures while maintaining a safe work environment.What We Offer YouCompetitive medical, dental, vision, and prescription insurance coverage401k with a company matchPTO Hours are accrued from Day 1Tuition reimbursementOpportunities for development and internal promotionsTwo minute walk to eco-friendly public transportation from rabbittransitSometimes the best jobs get missed because people think they don't have what it takes.
