Salary Range: $60,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and train junior machinists on equipment operation and safety protocols.
• Program, set up, and operate advanced CNC machinery for precision part production.
• Perform quality control inspections to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex machining issues and equipment malfunctions.
• Optimize machining processes and tooling for improved efficiency and cost reduction.
• Collaborate with engineering to review designs and provide manufacturing input.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to 5S principles.

Recommended Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience in precision machining, including operating and programming CNC mills and lathes.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of machinists, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
• Expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications.
• Strong knowledge of various metals, alloys, and cutting tools, with the ability to optimize machining processes for different materials.
• Demonstrated experience in machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality control procedures.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for program generation and simulation.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software for programming and simulation
• Certification in a specialized machining technique (e.g., EDM, laser machining)
• Proven ability to mentor junior machinists or apprentices
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles
