Junior Systems Engineer / Active TS/SCI

ResponsibilitiesPeraton is currently seeking to hire a Junior Systems Engineer for its' Federal Strategic Cyber program.Location: Washington, DCIn this role, you will: Support the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of systems across the program’s infrastructure.Possess hands‑on experience working in Linux environments along with practical familiarity using OpenWRT‑based systems. Apply strong technical problem‑solving skills and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of systems and network devices.Support troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for system issues.Implement updates, patches, and configuration changes.Maintain documentation and configuration records.Collaborate with senior engineers on technical tasks and project deliverables.QualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelors degree and minimum of 3 years of experience in systems engineering, IT operations, or a related technical field. An additional 4 years of experience will be considered in lieu of the bachelors degree. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
