Role Description The Part Time Medical Assistant (MA) at Any Lab Test Now – Asheville, NC is an on-site role responsible for supporting daily clinical and administrative operations in the testing center. This role includes greeting clients, verifying test orders, collecting specimens (such as blood and urine), preparing samples for processing, and maintaining accurate documentation and records. The MA helps coordinate patient flow, ensures exam and collection areas are clean and stocked, and follows established protocols for safety, infection control, and privacy. The position also involves answering questions within scope of practice, assisting with scheduling, and collaborating with team members to deliver efficient, high-quality service. Although part-time, the schedule may include weekdays and occasional weekends based on business needs.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Medical Assisting skills, including specimen collection, vital signs, and basic clinical support.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of Medical Terminology to understand test orders, documentation, and laboratory procedures.
• Candidates should possess experience in a Medical Office setting, including front desk support, scheduling, and patient intake.
• Candidates should possess Patient Care skills, demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and respect for diverse client populations.
• Candidates should possess experience handling Medical Records, with attention to accuracy, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program; certification or registration as an MA is preferred.
• Ability to follow detailed clinical protocols, maintain aseptic technique, and adhere to safety and HIPAA guidelines.
• Strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills, with reliability in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Basic computer proficiency and comfort working with electronic systems for scheduling and documentation.
