Manufacturing Process Technician - Night Shift

Responsibilities Report to front line leadership. Work as a team member to obtain plant and departmental goals. Ensure that production jobs are running to appropriate cycle specifications for maximum yields. Analyze molding defects to determine root cause and initiate material, machine, process, or tooling remedies. Recommend tooling and/or machine improvements for mold repairs, processes, yields, scrap, waste, etc. Respond to alarms and take corrective action involving quality issues, processing, and/or minor machine, mold, and auxiliary equipment repairs. Effectively communicate with shift personnel regarding part quality, equipment, special instructions, corrective action and productivity. Assist in improving all production cell set‑ups, including process, cycles, scrap reduction or any areas that lead to improved efficiencies. Communicate with other process technicians, shift supervisors and all technical employees on technical issues. Provide technical assistance to maintain expected levels of productivity to fulfill scheduling and quality requirements. Maintain detailed information within current reporting formats, on statistics, processes and procedures. Assist other technical personnel in the troubleshooting process for cost‑effective solutions. Check tooling, machines and auxiliary equipment to identify issues and provide work orders to appropriate support departments. Comply with government regulations in adherence to EPA, MSDS, Lock/Out‑Tag/Out and all other proper safety standards. Train and mentor other process technicians in on‑the‑job mold and process routines. Update and maintain any and all documentation or procedures when changes occur. Keep current on new technology and developments in the area of responsibility, as time allows. Actively participate in production floor improvements. Perform housekeeping duties as needed or assigned. Maintain lot control traceability. Control of non‑conforming product. Manage scrap identification and flow within production. Work and perform to ISO Standards, SOPs and established Work Instructions. Uphold Quality Standards and follow Absolutes. Qualifications Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting. Capable of reading, writing, and speaking English. Capable of operating a forklift safely and cautiously, certified. Some computer experience. Strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to problem‑solve, interpret instructions in numerous formats. Basic math skills with the ability to use rulers, micrometers, calipers and other measuring devices. Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs. periodically. Capable of maintaining an attendance record within company guidelines and working required overtime. Working knowledge of molding theory preferred. Ability to interpret traveler/work orders. Job Details Shift: 6:30pm – 7:00am; 12‑hour shift (2 Days On, 2 Days Off, 3 Days On, 2 Days Off, 2 Days On, 3 Days Off). Climate‑controlled environment.
