Commercial Flooring Installer
Pay: Competitive - Based on Experience (DOE) Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Commercial Flooring Installer to join an active commercial construction project in Eagle Pass, TX. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing a variety of commercial flooring systems and be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced construction environment. Candidates with experience in multiple flooring installation disciplines will be given preference. Leadership experience and the ability to supervise a small crew is a plus. Key Responsibilities
- Install commercial carpet tile (primary responsibility)
- Install Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) and Vinyl Composition Tile (VCT)
- Install broadloom carpet and perform carpet stretching
- Install rubber tile , sheet vinyl , and vinyl cove base
- Perform heat welding of sheet vinyl flooring
- Install wall base and finish flooring details
- Read and interpret blueprints, project layouts, and establish control lines
- Measure, cut, and fit flooring materials according to project specifications
- Ensure all installations meet manufacturer standards and quality expectations
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Work independently or lead a crew when required
- Previous experience installing commercial and/or industrial flooring systems
- Strong experience with carpet tile installation (required)
- Experience with one or more of the following:
- Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT)
- Broadloom Carpet
- Carpet Stretching
- Rubber Tile
- Vinyl Cove Base
- Sheet Vinyl
- Heat Welding
- Vinyl Composition Tile (VCT)
- Ability to read blueprints and establish layout/control lines
- Experience using commercial flooring tools and equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Leadership or crew lead experience is preferred
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your knees for extended periods
- OSHA 10 certification is a plus
