Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in conducting patient evaluations and assessments, ensuring each patient feels respected and understood throughout the process.
• Modify and implement treatment plans and exercise regimens as directed by the Physical Therapist, always prioritizing patient-centered care.
• Instruct patients in performing therapeutic exercises safely and effectively, providing supervision that ensures compliance with the assigned regimen.
• Utilize various modalities, including heat, cold therapies, and electrical stimulation, to alleviate pain and improve functional mobility; always prioritizing comfort and safety.
• Educate patients and their families on techniques for continuing therapeutic exercises at home, fostering independence and self-efficacy.
• Monitor and document each patient's progress meticulously, ensuring comprehensive treatment records are maintained.
• Communicate regularly with fellow healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and comprehensive support for each patient.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate patient records with detailed notes on treatments and outcomes, contributing to ongoing care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• An Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited academic program.

• Thorough understanding of physical therapy principles and a genuine passion for supporting patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
