FSP - Scientist - Formulations, Drug Delivery

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a scientist to support parenteral formulation development and drug delivery for novel oligonucleotide therapeutics. The role involves independent formulation preparation, analytical characterization, and data analysis within a customer-based research environment in South San Francisco.
Responsibilities
- Independently prepare drug products and novel formulations with varied compositions
- Analyze formulations using spectroscopy, rheology, chromatography, calorimetry, and light scattering techniques
- Review experimental data, identify trends, and design hypothesis-driven follow-up experiments
- Conduct literature research to interpret results and guide formulation development
- Present findings and technical recommendations to cross-functional teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Material Science, Biology, or related laboratory science
- 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical formulation or equivalent advanced degree (Master's/PhD)
- Independent laboratory experience, preferably with oligonucleotide or nucleic acid drug products
- Knowledge of spectroscopic, rheologic, and calorimetric analytical techniques
- Foundational pharmaceutical science expertise with focus on solutions and colloids
- Strong experimental execution and data interpretation capabilities
- U.S. work authorization without sponsorship required
