Non-Negotiables

• You must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment is required
• You need deep knowledge of process equipment such as pumps, compressors, piping, vessels, exchangers, and relief valves
• Proven experience with reliability methodologies, mechanical integrity programs, and maintenance best practices is essential
• You must be skilled at analyzing equipment performance data, troubleshooting issues, and implementing cost-effective fixes
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities are mandatory

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and guidance for maintenance activities to maximize plant reliability
• Analyze equipment performance data, identify recurring failure patterns, and implement corrective actions to eliminate bad actors
• Develop, implement, and oversee preventive maintenance and mechanical integrity programs across the site
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) sessions and drive reliability improvement initiatives that reduce downtime
• Track key performance indicators such as Mean Time Between Repair (MTBR) and report on reliability trends
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9000 standards and the company's safety program, including participation in Process Hazard Analyses and Management of Change reviews
• Manage small capital projects up to $150K and contribute to cost reduction efforts while coordinating with contractors and suppliers

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP or other computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is strongly preferred
• A background in leading mechanical integrity programs in a PSM-covered chemical facility is a plus
• Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis, thermography, and ultrasound is advantageous
• The ability to train and mentor operators and maintenance technicians in reliability principles is highly valued
• A track record of successfully managing multiple small capital projects simultaneously is desired
• Certifications such as Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or API 510/570 will set you apart
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to cross-functional teams, are preferred
