JOB SUMMARY

Provides operational and clinical leadership for Rimrock's Bozeman location to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization's Strategic Plan. Oversees the quality, service delivery, financial performance, and day-to-day operations of assigned programs while ensuring exceptional client care and organizational effectiveness.

Develops and maintains strategic relationships with community partners, coalition members, referral sources, employers, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to increase community awareness, strengthen referral pathways, enhance service coordination, and improve access to care. Supports program growth through active community engagement, outreach, and collaboration.

Directs, coordinates, and evaluates departmental operations as delegated by the Director of Operations. Provides supervision, coaching, and professional development to clinical and support staff while ensuring accountability for performance, productivity, and service excellence. Monitors patient progress and program outcomes to support high-quality treatment services and positive client outcomes.

Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, payer requirements, organizational policies, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2. Serves as a positive ambassador for Rimrock and actively promotes the organization's mission, vision, and values throughout the community.

Management Responsibilities:

  • Organizes and oversees clinical programs and services to support short-term operational needs and long-range strategic goals.
  • Monitors patient progress and service delivery at the Bozeman location.
  • Leads strategic outreach, community partnership, and referral engagement initiatives that increase organizational visibility, strengthen referral networks, improve access to care, and support sustainable program growth.
  • Manages service programs to support group census capacity, timely assessments, client completion rates, and individual staff productivity.
  • Provides team and individual supervision to assigned staff.
  • Ensures adherence to outpatient programming schedules.
  • Runs reports and provides Quality Improvement data for quarterly meetings.
  • Ensures billing is completed and submitted accurately and timely.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervision and Leadership Responsibilities

  • Leads weekly staffing meetings to support client progression, care coordination, and treatment planning.
  • Conducts monthly departmental meetings to promote effective communication, collaboration, and organizational alignment.
  • Evaluates and documents employee performance, including direct observation of clinical services, and develops individualized staff development and training plans.
  • Provides ongoing training, coaching, mentoring, and professional development to staff.
  • Ensures quality patient care and compliance with organizational, regulatory, and accreditation standards; identifies and addresses performance improvement opportunities.
  • Participates in recruitment, interviewing, selection, onboarding, and retention of staff.
  • Reviews departmental financial performance quarterly with the Senior Director of Finance and manages operations within approved budget parameters.
  • Develops and maintains strategic relationships with referral sources, community partners, employers, and stakeholders to support admissions, continuity of care, program growth, and positive client outcomes.

  7. Communication – Consistently uses positive communication skills to promote effective interpersonal relationships. Provides timely and thorough follow-up with internal and external customers. Models professionalism by addressing others with appropriate actions, appearance, and communication. Models and promotes effective written and verbal communication.
  8. Customer Service – Supports the organization’s customer service initiative. Strives for service excellence by seeking challenges and turning them into opportunities. Anticipates and meets needs of patients while maintaining appropriate boundaries. Displays a friendly, helpful, and approachable demeanor. Obtains feedback from patients regarding their perceptions of the service provided to them and utilizes this information to improve service delivery.
  9. Respect – Establishes compassionate and supportive rapport with patients. Communicates tactfully and respectfully with patients, coworkers, and others.
  10. Quality Improvement – Assures that information is collected, organized, reported and used to improve the quality of systems and services. Recognizes and appropriately reports to supervisor areas within scope of responsibility that fall outside the quality parameters. Serves on committees or process improvement teams to assist in improving quality/customer satisfaction, as assigned.

EDUCATION/TRAINING: BS degree in Behavioral, Healthcare-related or Human Services field; Master Degree preferred. Minimum of three years administrative/clinical experience in a recognized healthcare facility. Specialized training in chemical dependency delivery services is preferred. Must be licensed and in good standing as a Licensed Addiction Counselor in the state of Montana.

SKILLS: Possess effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to delegate and collaborate with therapeutic team and leadership. Proven effectiveness to adapt to change and make necessary adjustments as needed. Capacity to provide empathy and possess knowledge of adult patients with addictions and co-occurring disorders, and implement positive reinforcement of patients. Exemplifies strong organizational skills. Acquired clinical supervision and therapeutic skills. Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft software including Word, Excel and Outlook.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is indoors in an office environment with moderate noise. Intermittent physical effort involving lifting of up to 25 pounds, walking and stooping is required. A typical workday involves sitting, frequent use of a keyboard, reaching with hands and arms, and talking and hearing, approximately 70% of the time. Approximately 30% or less of the time is spent standing. Normal vision abilities required, including close vision and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/JOB LOCATIONS: Involves everyday risk or discomfort requiring normal safety precautions in an office setting, meeting room and patient care areas. Some driving and travel required. Generally requires concentration and attention to detail. Will work primarily at the Bozeman location.
