Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and mount equipment such as service bodies, liftgates, cranes, toolboxes, lighting systems, and auxiliary components.
- Modify and fabricate vehicle parts to fit custom specifications.
- Perform wiring, hydraulic, and pneumatic system installations and repairs.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and installation instructions.
- Ensure all installations comply with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.
- Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and functionality.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in safe and organized condition.
- Communicate with supervisors, project managers, or customers regarding requirements and progress.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA standards.
Skills / Education / Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Previous experience as an upfitter, mechanic, fabricator, or installer preferred.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to lift/move parts and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs., with or without assistance.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
