Assembly Technician

Government Assembly OperatorThe Government Assembly Operator assembles products in accordance with work instructions, drawings, specifications, and quality requirements. This role performs assembly operations, verifies product conformance, packages finished goods, and maintains a safe, organized work environment while meeting safety, quality, and production objectives. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting work orders, assembly instructions, drawings, specifications, and part lists. The operator assembles components and finished products in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and work instructions. They complete First Article Inspections as required by quality procedures, properly package completed assemblies in accordance with customer or contractual requirements, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Compliance with all applicable safety procedures, work instructions, and production guidelines is mandatory. The operator supports continuous improvement initiatives and participates in training or cross-functional activities as assigned. They identify and report nonconforming products or suspect material to Quality or Production Supervisor and perform other duties as assigned by supervision within the scope of training and capability. The operator has the authority to stop their portion of work if a safety, quality, or compliance issue is identified.Skill Requirements: Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Ability to perform basic math calculations. Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications. Experience Requirement: 0 to 1 year of relevant experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment preferred.High School Diploma or better is required.
