Healthcare Construction Project Manager

About the Position:

Muter Construction is seeking an experienced Healthcare Construction Project Manager to join our team serving Central and Eastern North Carolina. This role owns the full project lifecycle - from preconstruction through construction and project closeout - with a focus on both new construction and renovations within occupied acute care facilities. The ideal candidate will work closely with owners, architects, subcontractors and end-users to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards of quality and client experience.

Duties:

\n

\n
• Manage projects from preconstruction throughout construction phase, including project closeout
\n
• Perform constructability reviews as needed
\n
• Perform project risk assessments
\n
• Manage all aspects of on-site healthcare construction with an emphasis on renovations including occupied acute care facilities
\n
• Manage project financials, process pay applications and associated documentation
\n
• Emphasis on high quality deliverables including client experience
\n
• Adherence to OSHA safety standards
\n
• Daily collaboration with Field Staff
\n
• Ability to travel from home office in Zebulon, NC to jobsites on a weekly basis
\n

Qualifications:

\n

\n
• Minimum of five years of related experience in acute healthcare construction
\n
• ICRA (preferred)
\n
• Certified Healthcare Constructor (preferred)
\n
• OSHA-30
\n
• Valid NC Drivers License
\n

\n

\n

Education:

\n

\n
• High school degree or an equivalent combination of training and work experience
\n

\n

\n

Computer Skills:

\n

\n
• Proficient in MS Office or related software
\n
• Procore (preferred)
\n

\n

\n

Technical Skills:

\n

\n
• Experience in project budgeting/forecasting
\n
• Ability to generate actionable schedules to ensure on-time project delivery
\n
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) systems in a healthcare setting
\n
• Thorough knowledge of drawings and specifications for project
\n
• Thorough knowledge of subcontract and material vendor scopes for project
\n
• Demonstrated understanding building structural elements as well as finishes
\n
• Demonstrated understanding of phases of construction projects
\n
• Ability to perform work in a timely, efficient and professional manner
\n
• Ability to work within Muter Construction policies and adhere to safety policies set forth by company standards, local and federal regulations
\n
