Swim Instructor

Midtown is looking for an Aquatics Coach to add to our first-class organization. The PositionAs an integral part of the aquatics team, our Aquatics Coaches inspire members through movement, community, and personal attention. They encourage active, social, and healthier lives by:

• Demonstrating professionalism, resilience, continued growth and optimism

• Build lesson plans based on the Midtown curriculum and teach to expectations

• Have excellent engagement skills to build trust and open communication

• Maintaining aquatics areas and equipment to promote positive member experience

• Provide availability to teach during Group Lesson times which may include: Monday – Thursday 9:00am – 11:15am, Monday - Friday 3:45pm - 6:30pm, Friday 9:35am – 11:50am, Saturday & Sunday 9:00am-1:00pm.

Our Aquatics Coaches:

• Have 2-years’ experience with a recognized swim school or 4 years competitive swim experience with a passion to work with children

• Has Knowledge and Enthusiasm to teach Group lesson for the following age groups: 6-months to 36-months, 3-year to 5 year, & 6-year to 12-year

• Current lifeguard or water safety instructor certifications recommended (American Red Cross preferred)

• Possess ability to provide multisensory instruction: auditory, visual, tactile, kinesthetic

• Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver information clearly, concisely, and timely

Position pay rate is $24.00 - $26.50 per instructional hour (tiered depending on experience, education and certifications)
