Project Estimator

Our client is seeking an experienced Glass & Glazing Estimator for a full-time opportunity in the Chicago, Illinois area. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience estimating commercial glass and glazing projects. Responsibilities: Prepare detailed estimates and bid proposals for commercial glass and glazing projects. Review architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents. Perform quantity takeoffs and material calculations. Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing. Identify project scope, potential risks, and value engineering opportunities. Coordinate with project managers, architects, general contractors, and suppliers. Maintain accurate estimating records and bid documentation. Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of commercial glass and glazing estimating experience . Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, elevations, shop drawings, and project specifications. Experience with estimating software such as Bluebeam, OST, or similar platforms. Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and time-management abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
