In this role, you will provide specialized nursing care to mixed-acuity (stepdown and med/surg) cardiac patients within a premier Level 1 Trauma academic medical center. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality direct nursing care to cardiac stepdown and med/surg acuity patients. Continuously monitor cardiac telemetry, evaluate hemodynamic status, and manage specialized care plans. Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to established clinical protocols. Coordinate interdisciplinary care with physicians, cardiologists, and allied health professionals. Assess, document, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition. Qualifications & Requirements Active RN License (Alabama or eNLC Compact License in hand). Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS required. Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of progressive care (PCU), cardiac stepdown, or telemetry experience preferred. Schedule: 3x12 night shifts.
