Job Description
PICU RN Float (3x12 Hour Day Shifts)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:00.

Job Description

We are seeking a PICU RN Float to join our dynamic team. The candidate will provide care in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and may be required to float to our additional location as well as to other acute care units, including NICU, if needed. The role requires exceptional nursing skills and the ability to work in varying environments while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the PICU environment.
• Manage ventilated patients and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Conduct wound assessments and provide appropriate care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
• Monitor and assess patient progress, responding to changes in condition.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a PICU or similar acute care setting.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• OH or Compact RN license must be held at the time of submission.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
• Previous charge experience is a plus.
