Sample and Logistics Technician III - Team Lead

Eurofins seeks a Sample and Logistics Technician III - Team Lead to oversee sample management, laboratory operations, and shipping logistics in a pharmaceutical research environment. The role combines hands-on technical work with team leadership, requiring expertise in sample handling, LIMS systems, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end sample receipt, tracking, chain-of-custody documentation, and disposition while maintaining compliance and accuracy
• Lead team priorities, workload coordination, and resource allocation to meet client timelines and quality standards
• Prepare and oversee shipping of samples and materials, ensuring IATA and DOT compliance with proper documentation
• Serve as technical lead for ERP, LIMS, and sample-management systems; develop SOPs and drive continuous improvement
• Coordinate cross-functional activities with biology, chemistry, project management, and logistics teams

Requirements

• Associate degree with 4+ years relevant experience, or B.S./B.A. with 3+ years experience
• Background in contract research organization laboratory settings
• Proficiency with sample intake, registration, storage, and complex preparation techniques
• Experience with Microsoft Office, AX applications, and LIMS software platforms
• Demonstrated ability to operate automated liquid handlers and develop automation scripts
• Experience managing strategic projects and customer relationships
• Strong communication skills with ability to mentor and model compliance standards
