The Oxford Hills School District is looking for a Substitute Bus Driver. We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Substitute Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing safe and reliable transportation while delivering exceptional customer service. As a Substitute Bus Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring passengers reach their destinations safely and on time, while also educating them about routes and schedules.

Duties:

• Safely operate a bus along designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with passengers, providing information about routes, schedules, and any changes.
• Educate passengers on safety procedures and proper behavior while on the bus.
• Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment for the comfort of all passengers.
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on the bus to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Address passenger inquiries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
• Document any incidents or issues that arise during transportation.

Experience:

• Proven experience in bus driving or similar roles is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance tasks on the bus.
• Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with passengers.
• Proficient in writing reports or documentation as needed.
