Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct various ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient safety and comfort throughout procedures, thoroughly explaining each step
• Collaborate effectively with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure high-quality images
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions
• Document procedures accurately and maintain patient records in electronic medical systems
• Keep abreast of advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is highly preferred

Certifications Required

• Current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred

Skills Needed

• Robust technical expertise in sonographic imaging techniques and patient positioning
