Contract | Night Shift | 3×12 or 4×12 Hours (19:00-07:30) | Every other weekend coverage (subject to change based on unit need) | Floating to like units or other facilities may be required based on census needs

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to inpatient adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions, including sepsis, MI, unstable angina, and Coronary Artery Disease
• Administer and monitor vasoactive drug infusions, IV antiarrhythmic therapy, and anticoagulation therapy
• Perform or assist with thrombolytic therapy, defibrillation/cardioversion, and thoracentesis
• Continuously monitor patients via cardiac telemetry, EKG, and non-invasive blood pressure monitoring
• Float to qualified like units or other campuses as needed based on census - staff will only float to units for which competencies have been demonstrated and documented
• Complete required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements within designated timeframes

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible (night shift, Cardiac Stepdown/Progressive Care category); candidates between 50-99.9 miles may be subject to a bill rate reduction

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Stepdown or similar progressive care setting
• First-time travelers with strong relevant clinical experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Experience with vasoactive infusions, antiarrhythmic therapy, and cardiac monitoring in an inpatient environment
