About the Role:

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with developmental, intellectual, or physical disabilities by providing compassionate and personalized support. Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to pass background checks and any required health screenings.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in supporting individuals with disabilities.
• Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR or willingness to obtain certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities.
• Certification as a Direct Support Professional or related credential.
• Training in behavior management techniques and person-centered planning.
• Experience with electronic documentation systems.
• Bilingual abilities to support diverse client populations.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities, including assistance with personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication administration, and mobility.
• Develop and implement individualized support plans in collaboration with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Facilitate community engagement and social activities to promote inclusion and skill development.
• Monitor and document client progress, behaviors, and any changes in health or well-being, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Advocate for client rights and needs while maintaining a safe and respectful environment.
