Job Title: Estimator Job Description The Estimator reviews customer drawings and specifications to determine required materials and production methods, then prepares accurate and timely cost estimates. This role generates detailed quotes within a 48-hour turnaround, collaborates closely with internal teams, and supports customers with clear communication and updates throughout the quoting process. Responsibilities + Review customer drawings and specifications to determine appropriate materials and production methods. + Prepare accurate cost estimates that include materials, labor, and outside services. + Generate and send customer quotes within a 48-hour turnaround time. + Work closely with customers to answer questions, clarify requirements, and provide status updates on quotes. + Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs. + Support quality and operations teams by interpreting blueprints and drawings when needed. + Enter and maintain estimate and quote data accurately in Excel, ERP, and related systems. + Use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers as needed to verify dimensions and ensure accurate estimates. + Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to estimating processes and tools. Essential Skills + Experience in manufacturing, estimating, or a related field preferred. + Strong Excel skills, including data entry and organization of estimate and quote information. + Proficiency in general computer operation and use of Google Suite. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. + Solid math skills and strong problem-solving abilities. + Strong communication skills and a customer service mindset. + Experience working with RFQs (Requests for Quote). + Ability to use ERP systems, including familiarity with E2 System. + Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers. Additional Skills & Qualifications + manufacturing environment is beneficial. + Experience supporting cross-functional teams such as production, engineering, quality, and operations. + Comfort working with multiple quotes and deadlines in a fast-paced setting. + Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in calculations and documentation. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oshkosh, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $29.00/hr.
