Administrative Support Associate

Western Carolina University

Administrative Support Associate - #004284 Location: Asheville, NC (Biltmore Park campus), United States Parental leave, paid holidays, sick time, retirement plan. Position Summary The Administrative Support Associate serves as the first point of contact for the public, students, and WCU Offices regarding the Nursing programs in Asheville. Responsibilities include: Providing initial information about registration and graduation requirements to prospective and current students. Composing letters and memos to applicants, students, agencies, and the public. Developing student and program forms and maintaining all program records and reports. Editing proposals and other program documents. Supervising work‑study students and graduate assistants. Maintaining a filing system for all program records, including confidential documents. Receiving and distributing correspondence and packages. Monitoring the functioning and re‑supply of office equipment. Monitoring budget expenditures. Qualifications Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship. Proficiency with computers and related software. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills. Judgment and decision‑making skills. Composition and editing skills. Good oral and written communication skills. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member. Discretion and commitment to maintaining confidentiality. Ability to maintain professionalism in stressful situations. Ability to use the internet. High school diploma or equivalency, or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. Benefits Paid holidays and sick leave.
